Job Description:
The job requires supporting of Manufacturing Engineering (ME) group on CMM Offline / Online programming for various parts of aero engines. The job involves working in a challenging environment and supporting ME group for a large Engine Manufacturer.
Typically Manufacturing Engineers are expected to support all ME related activities such as Manufacturing Process planning creation, Technical instruction writing, Tool design, CNC programming, Inspection planning, CMM programming and Cost estimation for various aero engine manufacturing programs.
Typical Activities in CMM programming would do is:
Drawing study
Estimation on each executable programs
Agreement on Features to be covered
Number of optimum setups
Probe / Styli setups
Technical instructions, illustrations
CMM Offline programming
CMM Online programming
CMM Program Validations & Gauge R&R
CMM Online program buy-off
Additional Skills but not Mandatory:
Good understanding of Gas Turbine Engine components
Hands on experience in Process planning for precision machined components Aero components preferred
Hands on experience in Tool design (Jigs and Fixtures)
Experienced in Nx Manufacturing
Experience in offline CNC programming
Experience in VBA coding
